Famed for the “Broads” Norfolk is a county that has long been popular with fisherman and boatmen alike. With many miles of coastline and famous towns such as Cromer and Great Yarmouth Norfolk is a wonderful county to visit. For the shore angler you are spoiled for choice with stunning sand and shingle beaches as well as harbours and estuaries.
As with every county I have handpicked the areas that offer the biggest variety of fishing options, whilst being close to large towns for access and convenience,these include;
Cromer is a coastal town in the county of Norfolk. The town was built on its fishing industry. The infamous Cromer crab is still highly sort after and fished for in the local waters. The town is also perfectly positioned to explore the varied coastline in the surrounding area. The perfect base to explore this part of the Norfolk coast.
Great Yarmouth: is a large Victorian seaside town on the Norfolk coast. Great Yarmouth also has some fantastic local fishing marks. Like a lot of the East Coast during the summer the area is famed for its smoothhound and bass fishing with Codling the main target throughout the winter months.
Hunstanton: or Hunston as it is known by Locals is a small Norfolk town and is one of the few places on the East coast where the sun sets over the sea. The imperious cliffs along the coast make for a spectacular back drop to the visiting angler. There are a number of fantastic fishing locations close to the town with sport consistent all year round.
